Visual Arts in Saint Lucia

The Honourable Dunstan St. Omer, Saint Lucia’s foremost visual artist is the designer of the national flag.
Among his numerous works, are murals, some of which are on display in many churches in St Lucia, and portraits of famous Saint Lucians.
St. Omer has also inspired generations of young Saint Lucian artists. He worked in the Ministry of Education as an art instructor for over 30 years, and is still passionate about introducing young people to the arts.
St. Omer has now been conferred what is perhaps the most public honour any Saint Lucian can hope to attain locally, the Saint Lucia Cross, the nation’s highest award.

Victor Eudovic
Is one of Saint Lucia's formost Wood Sculptor. The art medium he chooses is by preference, Laurier Canelle, an extinct species. He transforms ancient stumps and their roots.
Other woods he uses are Mahogany, Teak, Laurier Mabouey and red and white Cedar.
