Airport Departure Tax
Departure Tax of EC $68 (US $26) for all international passengers over 12 years old or EC $35 (US $13) for regional passengers must be paid when leaving the Island.
Entry Requirements
Visitors must carry valid passports. Visas are not required where the visitor is a citizen of the USA or certain Commonwealth countries, or where there is agreement for exemption between the home country and Saint Lucia. A return ticket is required. Full time on campus students will receive a renewable six month visa. It is required that you have a photo I.D. card, which Destiny University School of Medicine and Health Sciences will provide for you, and you are responsible for sending a Passport photo along with your application.
Local Transportation:
Buses are extremely plentiful, 12 passenger vans that will cost you about $US 5.00 each way between Vieux Fort and Castries, which is about 30 miles.
